A Community of Families - When you purchase a Clarkston, Washington or Lewiston, Idaho home you become a member of a close-knit community. The citizens of the LC Valley enjoy many community events, but also work together to help those in need and make our community a better place to live. Because of this community mindset, there are many opportunities for residents of homes in Clarkston, WA and Lewiston, ID to feel a connection to their community and make a difference in people’s lives.
Because the LC Valley is a smaller community, people know one another and want to help in times of need and make our community a better place to live. Throughout the year there are various fund raising events including dinners, dances, auctions, wine tastings, and yard sales. One such event is the Christmas Connection. In conjunction with St. Vincent de Paul and the Salvation Army, residents donate and help distribute holiday meals and gifts to area families in need.

Habitat for Humanity is also active in our area, offering those with construction skills the opportunity to help build or remodel homes for needy families. Meals on Wheels allow volunteers to either help prepare a meal or deliver those meals and meet some fine, homebound citizens.
Every year citizens and businesses join together to decorate Lewiston’s Locomotive Park with tens of thousands of lights that old and young enjoy throughout the holiday season.
Those with artistic talents can join the fun in making one of Lewiston Civic Theater’s performances a reality. The Idaho – Washington Concert Chorale and the Washington Idaho Symphony Orchestra – each offer opportunities for accomplished musicians to perform a challenging repertoire of pieces.
For those who enjoy coaching there are many youth and adult sporting programs through the Valley Boys & Girls Clubs of Lewiston and Clarkston and the Lewiston Parks and Recreation Department.
A variety of opportunities are available for those who wish to volunteer and make new friends. Whether it is working on a committee with Hot August Nights, the Dogwood Festival, one of the local fairs, the Lewiston Roundup Parade and Rodeo, the NAIA World Series, the Valley Boys & Girls Clubs, or serving meals at the Salvation Army, your talents can be used to enhance the lives of LC residents through these and other community events and organizations.
